Who We Are
‘Public Health and Environment Research Center’ (PERC) is a not-for-profit organization started in the year 2015 by a group of researchers, who came together to improve human health and well-being by generating knowledge through excellent research and transforming knowledge into practice through strategic partnership. It creates a platform for the researcher to engage in evidence-based research actively. PERC believe in translating research into practice; i.e., ensuring that research knowledge actually reaches the populations for whom they are intended and are implemented. PERC is also initiating and integrating Operational Research which refers to "search for knowledge on interventions, strategies or tools that can enhance the quality of human health or coverage of health system and services". Operational Research is relevant as it improve programme outcome as prevention, access feasibility of new strategies and intervention and advocate for policy change
Our Vision: To involve directly in the translation of research finding into policy and practice and while making operational research as an integral part.
Our Mission: To develop research capacity that can enhance program effectiveness and to be an advocate for the population we serve. We aim to achieve our mission in two areas:
• By providing clear strategy about setting of research priorities
• Filling implementation gap- what we know from research and what we do with that knowledge
Organizational Values:
• PERC is committed to working with efficiency and long-term sustainability
• Committed to transparency and accountability
• PERC credible about sharing evidence through scientific publication
