Scientific Advisor for Epidemiological Research and Analysis

Dr. Umesh Raj Aryal is an esteemed academic and researcher specializing in biostatistics, public health, and epidemiology, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, Nepal. With a Master’s degree in Statistics from Tribhuvan University and a Ph.D. in Medical Science from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, Dr. Aryal has developed expertise in advanced statistical analysis, research methodology, and public health program evaluation.

Dr. Aryal has over a decade of experience in academic and consulting roles, contributing to public health research at prominent institutions such as Jackson State University, the Nepal Health Research Council, and Kathmandu Medical College. He has extensive experience advising on complex statistical methodologies and epidemiological research, and he is well-regarded for his contributions to research on tobacco control, non-communicable diseases, and social determinants of health. His numerous publications and editorial roles in leading journals underscore his commitment to advancing health sciences research.

Currently, Dr. Aryal provides technical guidance to the Public Health and Environment Research Center (PERC) team on research design and advanced statistical techniques, enhancing the rigor and quality of their health studies.
